Our Story
Manjeet Singh, the founder of SMG Machines, has for long spearheaded design, innovation, and change in the rubber and plastic industry. Prior to establishing SMG Machines (then Manjeet Industries), he was one of the founders of Manjeet Plastics, a leading manufacturer and supplier of rubber footwear since 1960.
In 1984, he imported a dispersion kneader machine from Taiwan to expand his footwear business. He felt fascinated by its wide-ranging utility, and decided to use his technical acumen to build the country’s first variant of the same machine. He began R&D in 1985 and demonstrated success in 1986, when he engineered India’s first dispersion kneader, thereby revolutionizing the rubber and plastic industry.
In 2008, Manjeet Singh was joined by his son, Manvir Singh. Together, they have ensured that SMG Machines continues to exhibit a steadfast commitment to innovation, precision, and quality.
